An accessible campaign, by conviction and not just compliance.

Dave Bulkowski has spent his career as Executive Director of Disability Advocates of Kent County, working alongside people with disabilities and advocating for accessible, welcoming communities. This website is built to reflect that commitment. We want every visitor to be able to read it, navigate it, and take part in the campaign.

What we aim for

We strive to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. In building this site we have worked to ensure:

• Semantic, well-structured HTML with clear landmarks and a logical heading order.
• A “skip to content” link and full keyboard navigation, with visible focus indicators.
• Text and interactive elements that meet AA color-contrast guidance.
• Meaningful alternative text for images, and labels on every form field.
• Information that is never conveyed by color alone.
• Respect for the “reduce motion” setting in your operating system or browser.
• A responsive layout that works across phones, tablets, and desktops.
